Warts (viral warts) are benign tumors of the skin, which causes the human papilloma virus (HPV). After penetrating into the body the virus begins actively proliferate in the surface layers of the skin, causing the formation of skin growths (warts).
TYPES OF WARTS:
Common (vulgar) warts are localized on the skin of the palms, back of hands and fingers, rarely appear on the face and scalp. Common warts aremore common among children and adolescents. Looks like a rounded dense painless nodules with a rough surface, towering above the skin surface, pale pink or yellow-brown color. Such warts usually multiple and have tendency to the merger. Among all appeared common warts on the skin one is the largest, it called “maternal”. As a rule after removal of “maternal” wart other warts disappear by themselves. Vulgar warts are 70% of all causes of disease.
Plantar warts are localized on the skin of foot and cause pain when walking. Plantar warts consist of bundles of filiform papillae, surrounded by powerful roll of horny layers, resembling corn. Plantar warts are differ from many other warts because their growth is directed inwards. Tight shoes and excessive sweating of feet skin contribute to the spread of infection.
Flat (youthful) warts are localized on face, back of palms, neck, chest and flexor surfaces of forearms and legs. Flat warts are more common among young people, especially schoolchildren. Looks like small round flesh-coloredformations, some towered above the skin surface. Cover the vast surface of the skin.
Genital warts (condyloma) are localized on the skin and mucous membranes of the external genitalia, in the perianal zone, on the oral mucosa, bladder andvocal cords.
“Gateway” for penetration of the papillomavirus into the human organism can be microtrauma of skin (abrasions or cracks). Warts are transmitted by contact with the patient if he has a rash (eg, by shaking hands), when using shared objects and things (eg, via a computer keyboard and so on.). Infection can occur in pools, saunas, gyms, etc.
Viral warts can be infected and in contact with sick animals. In this case at risk are workers who cut up meat or fish, the wart hit their hands and forearms.
Warts tend to spread over the skin surface, recurrence and rapid growth, bleed when injury, may change the shape, color, can become painful. Self-treatment can cause the appearance of scars and malignant reborn as well.
In modern conditions the most effective method of wart treatment is their removal and antirecurrent immunotherapy.
The using of high-tech equipment allows to remove a large tumors (for example: plantar warts) with minimal risk of complications and short period of rehabilitation.
In the network of clinicsAURA the wart removal can be occurred only after consultation with oncologist-dermatologist. The destruction and removal of warts carried out using laser method using erbium laser MCL-30 Dermablate (Germany) and radio wave method (radio wave surgery) on apparatus SURGITRON ТМ (Ellman International, Inc., USA).
The treatment is performed in the day of visit with using local anesthesia.
After neoplasm removal doctors recommend an adequate immunomodeling therapy.
